Wine Advocate-Parker :
La Morra is generally known for slightly more accessible expressions, and this is the case with the beautifully velvety and rich 2015 Barolo Gattera that shows so well straight out of the gate. Fruit for this wine is sourced from two positions on either side of the landmark cedar of Lebanon tree that grows on the Cordero di Montezemolo property and can be seen far and wide across the appellation. The best clusters are selected for this wine. This Barolo shows richness and power with plenty of dark fruit nuances. The wine goes into botte for up to 20 months and then goes into bottle. In fact, this estate makes a point to age longer in glass so that the wines are more ready when they hit the market.
